Kat Deluna is the hottest new star in the music biz right now, anda "Whine Up" is definitely the song of the summer. We all know how great she is, so let's spread the word!

Kat is a great representation of how hardworking we LATINOS are, and we have a responsibility as fans to make sure she comes out on top (#1!).

Who are we? We are a group of latino friends (dj's, broadcasters, and just regular people) who are HUGE Kat fans and we're sharin' the love with everyone in our communities, and you can too! Word of mouth is the best way to create hype, and when people see that you're passionate about something, they want to learn more about it!

It's the fans who determine how successful an artist will be. Kat has more talent than any other artist on the scene right now, so we've got to show the world how hardworking she is!

HERE ARE 10 WAYS THAT YOU CAN SHOW YOUR LOVE FOR KAT!

1. HOST A CD LAUNCH NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTY - This is a REALLY great way to have fun and connect with family and friends. Invite a close group of friends and neighbors to your house or a neighborhood spot (park, etc.) and make August 7 a neighborhood block party day! Have abuela make some taquitos and get mamá to mix some limonada, whip out the Sazón and cook some nice frijoles. ¡Baile en las calles! It's a lot of fun (trust us).

2. CALL UP YOUR RADIO STATION ON, BEFORE AND AFTER AUGUST 7 - Call up your local radio station and tell them YOU WANT TO HEAR "Whine Up," or the new single, "Am I Dreaming?" When you talk to them, make sure to show how excited you are that the album is droppin'! Whine Up has been a huge radio smash, so show the stations you want more. You may even get to be live on the radiowaves!

3. HEAD TO THE LOCAL CLUB - Make sure they have "Whine Up" playin' and make sure the DJ knows the album is droppin' soon. The DJ will usually mention something about the artist or album after special requests are made.

4. GET ON MYSPACE AND YOUTUBE - Send a bulletin to all your friends on Myspace and Youtube, post links to Kat's website or to a store where they can buy the album. Make fan videos on Youtube. Show your support!

5. CONTACT YOUR LOCAL NEWSPAPER - See if they've reviewed her album yet, and better yet...

6. WRITE AN EDITORIAL ABOUT THE STATE OF MUSIC TODAY - and how there are some up-and-coming stars (Kat Deluna, DUH) who are really taking the industry by storm.

7. GET THE RINGTONE OR CALLERTUNE - People will notice the song whenever they call you (callertunes) or when your phone rings (ringtone).

8. GO TO USER-SIGNFICANT MUSIC WEBSITES - Rate Kat's CD on iTunes and other programs/websites: AOL music, Yahoo music, Rhapsody (by the way, I am EXTREMELY disgusted by the biased review that music critic Sarah Bardeen wrote Rhapsody.com; I'm not sure if she knows anything about REAL Music....so be sure to buy the CD from iTunes and not Rhapsody)

9. BRING THE CD OR ALBUM ART EVERYWHERE YOU GO - People are nosy, and they like to go through your stuff. Keep the CD or some sort of promotional thing somewhere visible at work, in your car, dorm, in your purse, whatever. You will be surprised how many people ask you, "Hey, what's that?"

10. BE SURE TO ATTEND EVENTS THAT KAT IS AT, AND GO TO LATINO-BASED EVENTS - Be sure to check the events calendar and make sure you show support for her! Being visible is the best thing you can do! Go to Latino events and parades and bring the CD with you, go to the stage and have them play a certain track on the disk, get the music out there.
