Does anybody know if Kat will be visiting any radio stations or having any concerts in Va. i know she would let us know but just checking. She has tons of fans in Virginia.

I really hope she'll show up. As a progressive Dominicana, she has muh to teach our community about the power of hard work.

Plus, it'll show that she's very orgullosa of her people and country.

heyy.. I just heard that Kat is going to be performing at Hess's Arthur Ashe Kids' Day on August 25th. The show is at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, NY. Lil Mama, Sean Kingston and The Jonas Brothers are also performing. The show starts at 2, but there are a bunch of other cool things going on starting at 10am, including special guest appearances by celebrities like Tony Hawk, Roger Federer, Andy Roddick, Serena Williams and James Blake. I got my tickets at usopen.org but you can also get them through Ticketmaster (1-866-OPEN-TIX)..

When Kat(hleen) and her sister were little girls, my then-boyfriend - their music teacher, and a couple other teachers (including me - an art teacher at another neighborhood school) went around to their early gigs. I especially remember one at NJPAC for a Latin Music TV show. There was a festival in Jersey City, too. I also remember Kat's mom making Dominican food for us in their apartment. Since then I've only heard news through the grapevine until "Whine-up." I'm still teaching in Newark and I've had thousands of students through the years.
